Heavy-Duty Loading Dock Ramps
Here at Copperloy, we design our loading dock ramps to maximize space, safety, and productivity. With our sixty years of experience in the industry, we have created America’s ultimate loading dock ramps. Could your facility benefit from a more productive loading dock ramp? Are you unsure of which type of ramp would be the most beneficial for your facility? Did you know loading Dock Ramps are known by several different names such as:
However, no matter what term name you choose to use they all serve the same function. Which is to transform any desolate location into a productive freight-handling center. All of the above ramps allow for traffic to move from ground level to buildings, truck trailers, loading docks, platforms, and railcars.
YARD RAMP Site understands that safety and efficiency are of the utmost importance for freight-loading operations; therefore, we design our equipment with the needs of ramp operators and maintenance staff in mind. Our main focus is to ensure safety and efficiency along with affordability. The design of these units is to maximize space, increase productivity and add versatility to your freight-loading operations.
60 Years Experience Producing High-Quality Loading Dock Ramps
YARD RAMP Site has over 60 years of experience producing ramps of all kinds, and with our in-house engineering team and manufacturing facility, we can produce custom loading dock ramps to meet your specific needs. Whatever you’re looking for, we’ll help you get the job done quickly, easily and reliably.
Unsure about the weight capacity or size of the ramps you need? We’ll be happy to help you find a solution based on the weight of the equipment you utilize, the loads you carry, and the specifications of the facility you utilize.
- Variety of models to meet your specific loading dock needs
- Steel grating for secure traction
- Weight capacities of 16,000 to 35,000 lbs.
- Forklift attachments make moving the yard ramp quick and easy
Unique, One-Cylinder Design
YARD RAMP Site loading dock ramps utilize a unique, one-cylinder design that uses much less pressure to raise than other ramps on the market. In addition, the one-cylinder design has resulted in many other advantages:
- Easier operation – The hydraulic pump is on the outside of the ramp, easing both operation and maintenance.
- Faster raise times – Our ramps offer raise speeds that are two and a half times faster than traditional ramps.
- Less wear and tear – Rotation happens on the ramp’s position sleeve instead of the ramp’s connection, reducing overall wear and tear.
- Greater stability – The centrally-located cylinder significantly lowers the probability of tipping.
Key Features of Copperloy’s Loading Dock Ramps
8-FOOT LEVEL OFF
Forklift accessibility is always a concern when designing loading dock ramps. Therefore, we began including an 8-foot level off to ensure forklifts can safely and easily access our ramps.
15-INCH LIP
Our ramps’ 15-inch lip will rest on the dock floor, platform, or truck body. We also include 8-foot safety chains with our ramps to keep the ramp from pulling away from the truck or dock.
HYDRAULIC PUMP
Relative to other ramps, YARD RAMP Site ramps only need half the effort to rise thanks to the single-acting hydraulic hand pump. We have placed the pump in a much more convenient location for operation and maintenance. In its new location, it is also protected from dirt, debris, and other forms of wear and tear. Lastly, the handle is detachable and easily stored when not in use.
LOW-END PLATE
While other ramps on the market struggle to make forklift access smooth and safe, YARD RAMP Site ramps include features to improve forklift operation. Our low-end plate sits lower than a forklift’s wheelbase; therefore, the forklift’s front wheels can reach the grating while the back wheels remain safely on the ground. This eliminates any bumps that would occur on other ramps and simplifies ground-level entry.
DURABLE DECK GRATING
YARD RAMP Site manufactures loading dock ramps with high-strength steel and aluminum. The deck grating is strong enough to handle extreme conditions. The grating has one and three-quarter inch spaces between the bars to allow rain, snow, and other debris to fall through and prevent buildup. The grating is also serrated to provide high traction in all weather.
SAFETY CURB
We feature the 7-inch curb on all our ramps to prevent runoff.
18-INCH SOLID/PNEUMATIC TIRES
Solid/pneumatic tires is another highlight of YARD RAMP Site ramps. Our ramps’ tires have lubricated bearings and do not need to be refilled; therefore, they are essentially maintenance-free.
POSITIONING SLEEVE
With this positioning sleeve, YARD RAMP Site loading dock ramps can rotate a total of 180 degrees with the help of a forklift. The fork simply slides into the positioning sleeve, and the ramp can then be repositioned easily. This features significantly improves efficiency, saving you time and money. This sleeve is not designed for long-distance or over the road towing.
TOWBAR
Our steel and aluminum ramps include a towbar. This towbar attaches to the lower end of the ramp, allowing for towing around your facility at speeds up to 5-mph. This towbar is not meant for towing over the road or for long distances.
Expand Dock Capacity with Ease | Loading Dock Ramps
YARD RAMP Site loading dock ramps make expanding dock capacity an easy process. Freight-loading facilities can create a dock virtually anywhere in their facility. Operators can attach these ramps to docks or trucks with ease, allowing forklifts to load and unload safely and efficiently. With Copperloy, improving productivity is simple and cost-effective. An additional bonus of our loading dock ramps is flexibility. If your business relocates they can be moved with you.
